Hello, there! I’m Christopher, which you should have known if you saw my cute little green logo. So, let me not distract you from the following post. I hope you like it! I’d love to hear your thoughts after you’re done reading it! Enjoy!
Christmas was a lot of fun, wasn’t it? But now, it’s time to calm down and say thank you. How can we do so?
Well, if an immediate family member gave you gifts, you can always walk up to him/her and say a big hearty thank you. You can call your aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins, telling them also thank you. Or you can give a card to your friends saying thank you.
I know, this devotional sounds like it’s for toddlers, but saying thank you is something that we all forget to say. When one cleans the room, when one passes the stuffing, and whatnot, we don’t always say thanks.
Don’t forget to say thank you to God for all the good he has done for you. You know, he’s done so much for us, and we should continually give him thanks. He gave us our every breath, and we should be glad we can even wiggle our fingers. We can smell, we can do so much . . . only with his help. Thank you, God!
Now that we have gifts, we put them to good use by dropping the plates to the floor, tossing the $250 toy out from the 7th floor, by chewing on the eraser, and by jumping on the table. Wait, no! Those are ways we abuse the gift given to us. We put food on the plates, we take care of the toy, we erase our mistakes from our pencil, and use the table for when we work or eat.
One of the best gifts we have ever received is the gift of salvation. One of the benefits of being a Christian is not going to hell and that should be a big motivation to evangelize to people. We want to tell others about our gift that they, too, can receive.
But with our gift of salvation, we might abuse it. A few ways of abusing our faith and testimony is by marrying a non-Christian, smoking and taking drugs, or doing some other stupid thing.
We can use our gifts to help others. Yes, I did say evangelizing is one way, but that is not the only way. We can share what God has done in our lives.
God has given us gifts that are our talents. I love to write and I thank God for that talent and I try to honor him with that talent of mine.
Please God with your gifts and thank him for them.
Again, thank you, God, so very much for everything!
Hello again! I’m so happy you finished reading my post, and, boy, do I hope you liked it!
