Hello, there! I’m Christopher, which you should have known if you saw my cute little green logo. So, let me not distract you from the following post. I hope you like it! I’d love to hear your thoughts after you’re done reading it! Enjoy!
Well, if you didn’t know, I have changed my Disqus avatar around 50 times!
Well, the thing is is that there were a few times when I put up a picture and then took it right down. So those don’t count.
But I’d like to go through those pictures for some silly reason! Let’s get started!
– When I first made my Disqus account in January, I put up my first ScoopYourself entry as my avatar. I was quite pleased with it and still am! When I first uploaded it, it was squashed, so I fixed it later on. It still counts as one avatar. The first one!
– Then this one with Alfred hanging from the Larry-Copter I didn’t like as my avatar. I don’t know why I didn’t like it. I mean, I like the picture, but I didn’t like it as my avatar.
– Then the actor of Bernard Walton, Dave Madden, passed away in the middle of the month. If you were using Disqus early back then, then you know that they were going through some crazy changes and because of that I couldn’t change my avatar to commemorate his death until like ten days later.
– I don’t really remember when, but I changed my avatar to Ricochet. I think I liked that one.
– Then that BibleMan one I had for quite awhile! That was one of my favorites! I just like that one for some reason! Oh, right, it’s because I like BibleMan!
– Then I made up my own album cover for the Odyssey ScoopCast while they were reviewing “Life Expectancy.” I really like how I made that cover! ;D
– Another VeggieTales one that I have no problem with! :D
– So, it was around this time when the ScoopYourself contest winners were announced. Me and my brother were an honorable mention! That was great! So I celebrated with the avatar.
– Ohhhhh! The Wacky Protestor from BibleMan! I had that avatar for the longest time! A classic avatar and picture! I love that one! Probably my favorite!
– And it was around the time when the football season started when I put this avatar up. Then I changed it because of VeggieTales In The House and I wanted to change my avatar again.
– So I did another BibleMan avatar! Me and my mom found that picture a few years back while looking for pictures to use for decorations for my birthday.
– Such a beautiful cover, no? I had ApologetiX’s Orchard Avenue download cover up for awhile. I changed it the day after I started my website, I think.
– My what? Yes, website! I changed my avatar to show . . . me! :D Ha, ha! In recent days that was the avatar I was currently showing.
– Since it was Christmas time, I changed my avatar to showcase my artwork, which I used for Christmas cards. I can’t remember if that was made in 2013 or 2014.
– Then I made an avatar for those on my website who don’t have avatars. It really needs an update. When I made it, I wore it for awhile.
– In late December, TCF put out the Season finale and I celebrated it by changing my avatar to its cover in January, I think. I added Jason. If you heard the episode, you know why.
– In September 2014, ATC put out their best episode yet, so I changed my avatar do showcase it. But I only had it up for a short time . . .
– Because the Odyssey ScoopCast finally put out an episode in a long time (and I’m still waiting for another episode). But that didn’t last long either. Not my fault!
– Why? Because I wanted to showcase my post about CHRISTIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN media. I thought the photo was a clever parody.
– Then I changed my avatar to be ApologetiX’s 20th album “20:20 Vision” which they released when they turned 20! :D 20, 20, 20!
– Then another BibleMan avatar? Yes! I definitely remember that one! I remember Trent temporarily featured my comment on the “What do you want to talk about?” thread.
– Late December and early January, I was going through all the ApologetiX songs we had. And one album I really enjoyed was “Grace Period.” So, why couldn’t that be my avatar?
– My wonderful uncle gave me a high-quality microphone and I decided to show it off a little bit! Whatcha think?
– Finally, TCF released the season premier of season five in March (and I’m still waiting for episode two!), so I decided to show off Natasha Green’s artwork! Oh, you can see my microphone in the picture. I added that part.
– Who’s that?
– I saw this picture from Dear Future Josh and I thought it was kinda funny, so it became my avatar. :D
– It was around this time when ApologetiX released their 27th album, Easter Standard Time, which I gave away on my website. Shout out to Joy who won that!
– My favorite pureNRG album, “The Real Thing,” had its spot in the limelight. :D That was fun. I think that was my avatar when me and Ethan were chatting our lives away. Good ol’ Ethan. Oh, I posted my 1,000th comment with that avatar.
– About exactly a week after me and Ethan were chatting, I posted the famous Dropbox post which first announced that my mom was pregnant with Peanut. So I changed my avatar to be the AIO’s sampler cover of The Dropbox.
– Babies still abound, so I changed my avatar to be ApologetiX’s Apoplectic. Do you know how to say that word? I DO!
– I’m not way too sure, but it might have been around this time when I reviewed Go Fish’s “Kids Music.” I remembered that I worked a lot to link up a bunch of stuff . . . and then Go Fish moved to a new domain and changed up their website!
– I remember this was the avatar I was using when I first started talking to Cece. We might have exchanged a few comments a few avatars back, but this was when the party really got started! Anyways, BIBLEMAN!
– To keep in step with the Dropbox post (which was still rising in popularity), I changed my avatar to a wise VeggieTales saying. I figured out that I am not way too much of a fan of VeggieTales avatars, being that I didn’t like this and I didn’t do anymore.
– Awhile back, I came across this picture of a flower I took. I thought it was beautiful, so I decided to showcase it. :D
– So, what? My site was celebrating six months? I couldn’t celebrate? Well, I did!
– And then soon after, I did my (ApologetiX’s) TNT review and gave away three APX albums. So my avatar was me parodying Karl Messner, Tom Milnes, and Tom Tincha.
– It might have been around this time when ApologetiX released “Music Is As Music Does.” This was not really my all time favorite avatar, but I did like it a bit!
– And then I showcased the colorful cover of pureNRG’s “reNRGized.” That’s the only pureNRG album I haven’t listened to or have. But I have heard samples of it on iTunes. I remember in 2010 I looked at a demo copy over at Mardels. Oh the memories.
– LOL! :D I loved this picture, so I had to showcase it!
– When I changed my avatar to be this, it wasn’t the same time when I did my pureNRG review. Anyways, this cover was me parodying the cover of “The Real Thing.”
– To give that post a little kickback, I decided to make that thumbnail as my avatar. And let’s just say I hated it as my avatar. But it didn’t look too bad on IntenseDebate. :D But I changed the picture a bit later on, changing that blue lighthouse.
– And it must have been around this time when ApologetiX released the single “Tufftumbling/Patients.” I don’t remember when we got it, but I did hear the “Isn’t Wasn’t Ain’t” version of “Patients” and liked that song. When I heard the new version, I was a little disappointed, but then I listened to it again and I was near to crying. The second time’s the charm!
– Then I celebrated 100 posts! I really enjoyed that avatar, even if no one got it. Oh, around that time, I became a high rep user on Disqus!
– And it was around this time when I purchased my first ApologetiX classic album, the 80s. So I changed up my avatar to be that cover. I liked that avatar!
– And also around that time Adventures in Odyssey released the cover art for Album 60: Head Over Heels. (Oh, I can say all the AIO albums in order! Quiz me!) And so I showed part of the picture. Of course, no one could really see those two small kids. :D Anyways, later on, I had the privilege to announce the first episode title of Album 60 on my website! I got a lot of traffic from the AIO Update!
– Oh, wait, I did do another VeggieTales avatar. Whoops! Well, I sort of liked that one. I think.
– This avatar was okay. It was the thumbnail of Say Goodnight Kevin’s “Your Opinion Doesn’t Matter.” I really liked the thumbnail. Don’t know why I chose that as my sweet avatar.
– So, I showcased the album cover of the official BibleMan soundtrack. How many BibleMan avatars did I do?
– And then I showcased the cover of ApologetiX’s single “Treading On Poisonous Scorpions.” That would be my last conventional avatar.
– So, this current avatar is this post’s thumbnail.
Actually, from now on, my avatar will be either me or some of my posts’ thumbnails. So no more conventional avatars, as far as I plan to do. The end!
So, how was that nostalgia post (I’m the Nostalgia Christopher!)? Let me know in the comments below? Which of those avatars was your favorite? Which avatar you have worn you liked? How often do you change your avatar? Let me know in the comments below!
