Hello, there! I’m Christopher, which you should have known if you saw my cute little green logo. So, let me not distract you from the following post. I hope you like it! I’d love to hear your thoughts after you’re done reading it! Enjoy!
I’m still single!!!
It's Valentine's Day and I wanna say that yes, I’m fifteen and still single.
Let me explain. You see, we follow an awesome God. And we are aliens in this fallen world. So the world tires to implement some influences in us. And all of those influences are all around us. One of them is love and romance.
The world is pushing everyone to marry and be happy. And finding the soulmate will make you complete. And I see, many times, a college boy and girl together. And when you see that and you don’t have a girl (or boy), you may feel a bit left out.
The world is trying to speed things up; they try to speed technology up, and speed up many other things, including love. But God works in his own time. So, in God’s timing, I might have a girl. But I am content where he has me. I shall see what the Lord will do in my life.
When the world invites me along with their “fun,” I remember Romans 12:2, which reads,” Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” I will follow God’s ways, not the world’s.
As I said, the world is trying to rush people into relationships. Because of that, they’re building that relationship on shifty sand. When a storm brews, they collapse. But those build on a firm foundation last. They stand firm.
I want to build my life, faith, and relationships on a firm foundation. And I should be happy that God has a plan for me!
It’s not that bad being a lonely outsider!
A special thanks to Madeleine who gave some helpful advice on this devo!
