Hello, there! I’m Christopher, which you should have known if you saw my cute little green logo. So, let me not distract you from the following post. I hope you like it! I’d love to hear your thoughts after you’re done reading it! Enjoy!
Did you know that God answers prayer?
Well, of course you should know that! But did you know that some say that God doesn’t answer prayer or he only answers some prayers. Some people say that God says “Yes,” “Wait,” or “No.” I don’t think that’s really true. I believe he answers “Yes,” “Wait,” or “I have something better in mind” (and says “No” when we pray for something that we shouldn’t be praying for).
Of course, we all know about the “Yes” and “Wait” parts. But what do I mean that God says “I have something better in mind”?
Really, when we pray, we should add, “Not my will, but your will alone, Lord.” What we are praying for may be good, but God has something better in mind.
Like when you pray for your grandma who is hospitalized, you may pray, “God please heal Grandma and help her not to be sick again and to live a healthy life.” Then she dies. And guess what, God DID answer your prayer! Grandma will never be sick again! And she is healed! Amen!
God may never answer the way we expected him to do so. He has his own will and purpose. He is doing what is best for you. It may not seem so very fun at first, but it is for your good.
Think of it this way. My dad didn’t want me to listen to rock when I was younger. Why? He wanted me to enjoy children's music. It wasn’t time for me to grow up yet. Now I can listen to ApologetiX and the like. Not only it was best for me, but also it increased my patience!
And God knows what he’s doing. He is not being unfair. Don’t look at the dark side, look at the bright side and you will see God’s plan.
Hello again! I’m so happy you finished reading my post, and, boy, do I hope you liked it!
