Abigail Duhon: The "God's Not Dead" actress recently signed to DREAM Label Group and announced that a new album is on the way. In addition, she released a song for the PureFlix movie "I'm Not Ashamed" of the same name. The movie is about Columbine martyr Rachel Joy Scott.
Adventures In Odyssey: Wanted to be part of the OAC, but aren't sure how good it is? Check out the new 14-day trial! In addition, the Official AIO Podcast released their tribute of Allen Young And Janet Waldo. They passed away a couple of months ago back-to-back. We will dearly miss them.
Andy Mineo: In celebration of his 2 year marriage anniversary, Mineo released a single entitled "Candy Rain."
ApologetiX: That Christian Parody Band was quite busy in August! They released two singles, "HardLabor / Living Loving Faith" and "Babbled Through The Phone / All You Gotta Do." They also re-released "Unconditional Releases" on CD. In addition, you don't have to labor to download each and every single song of theirs when you donate $100! You can now donate $150 with a USB with all the songs!!! What a deal!
Audio Theatre Central: On their 82nd episode, the intrepid trio reviewed Paws & Tales' Esther. Also, you can get a Hal's Diner t-shirt from them! Awesome sauce!
DC Talk: On August 1st, 1995, the influential single released. "Jesus Freak" is now 21 years old! Which version do you like better: the original, the remastered, or a select cover?
DJ Official: The former Reach Record producer died in critical condition after a lung transplant. He had a rare form of cancer and left behind a wife and two kids. On Rapzilla.com, you can purchase t-shirts to support his family and his album "Enter Mission" will do the same.
Disciple: The rockin' band (that's independent) announced a Kickstarter for their next album "Long Live The Rebels." They will also be featured on RED's 10th Anniversary Tour of End Of Silence, along with Spoken and RandomHero.
The Fast Feeling: I'm doing this for all you Say Goodnight Kevin fans! Members from Eleventyseven and Five Iron Frenzy have join forces to bring a new band to you guys. "Break" is available on SoundCloud and BandCamp. This group will mix elements of rock, pop, and electrona.
Flyleaf: Kristen May announced that she would be stepping down from Flyleaf. She said that she wanted to focus more time with her family and that she felt that she didn't really belong in the first place. But she did say that she might have more music coming out!
for KING & COUNTRY: The brother duo released the trailer for their upcoming movie "Priceless," based on their hit single of the same name.
GAWVI: "Lost In Hue" reached #2 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic chart and he released the music video for "Late Nights." And in August he announced that the second EP would be entitled "Holding Hue."
Jamie Grace: What a month it has been for Jamie Grace. Early in the month, she shared a Facebook update letting fans know that is has been a struggle to create new music, but it is on the way. She even said that she has even considered retiring! But then she landed on stage with Adele singing two covers. She amazed the pop star that everyone started talking about her on social media, which landed her in the media, including national television! A week later, she announced that she and her sister, Morgan Harper Nichols, decided to leave Gotee Records.
Lacey Sturm: The former Flyleaf frontlady announced that she has a new book coming out: "The Mystery: Finding True Love In A World Of Broken Lovers." She also released her first music video from the "Life Screams" album. "Rot" premiered on Yahoo Music.
Lauren Daigle: One of Christian music's rising stars had her debut album, "How Can It Be" certified Gold! Less than two years! (And it took Skillet three years for "Rise" to be certified Gold!) In addition, "Behold!" she has a new Christmas album on the way, which will feature a more jazzy sound.
Love & The Outcome: The husband/wife duo announced their new album "These Are The Days," which feature a happier chapter in their lives, compared to their previous album.
Newsboys: The Love Riot Tour is extended, hitting more places in December. In addition, they are a featured artist at Liberty University's WinterFest!
Odyssey Scoop: Provin' they aren't done, the Odyssey ScoopCast has released several episodes in August!
Selah: Going back to their roots, "Greatest Hymns, Vol. 2" was recently released, recaping some of the best hymns from the past 10 years. In addition, Todd Smith released a second solo album on the same day the compilation released.
Skillet: One of the biggest Christian rock bands of today released their tenth album and it hit #3 on the overall Billboard chart, and in addition it topped other charts. They also performed on FOX & Friends All-America Summer Concert Series.
Stryper: Some dates have been announced for the To Hell With The Devil 30th Anniversary Tour. More dates are to be announced and it is expected to be a world-wide tour and hit Japan for sure. Also, Stryper's frontman, Michael Sweet, released his seventh solo album, One Sided War, which was voted LoudWire's most anticipated album of August. It hit #77 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on three other Billboard charts.
Tauren Wells: The former Royal Tailor frontman announced that he has a new album coming out. He has released two songs so far.
Winter Jam: Quite a line-up planned for the biggest annual Christian tour. Matthew West and Crowder will headline the tour, and Britt Nicole, Mandisa, KB, Tedashii, RED, and Newsong will tag along. This time it will focus on the west coast of the USA.
