Hello, there! I’m Christopher, which you should have known if you saw my cute little green logo. So, let me not distract you from the following post. I hope you like it! I’d love to hear your thoughts after you’re done reading it! Enjoy!
Fan TreeHouse - Interview Spotlight With Christopher Patti, Christopher "164" Patti, and Christopher Patti (October 2015)
Hello, everyone! How are you all doing? I’m doing awesome!
So, October is my birthday month. So that means I’m now 16! Whee! I wonder how many years that actually is? Eh, never mind.
Anyways, to celebrate, I’m gonna do three interviews! So, let’s see: I interviewed Robert Thacker, Trenton Landmark, Liam Siegler, J. Jackson, Trent Blake, JD Sutter, and Lydia Lee.
So, I’m so very excited to present these three interviews to you! These three people are my closest friends! We talk and see each other each and every single day! I can’t remember any day when we were ever apart! And they really help me when I write posts for my site and such! I really want you to meet them!
So, without further ado, please welcome Christopher Patti, Christopher “164” Patti, and Christopher 164!
1. Christopher Patti
Hey, no problem!
So, I’ve had this question for a long time and I really wanted to ask you: What is your middle name?
You have the Audacity to ask that crazy question? Well, I wouldn’t! I don’t even own that Studio; One that I use most is Sony ACID.
Oh, isn’t that evil?
What do you mean?
I’ve heard that the word “acid” has many meanings and at least one of them isn’t very good. Or at least that’s what Christopher Green tells me.
Is that me?
No, you’re Christopher 164. He’s Christopher Green. He’s got a nice name.
Oh, okay. Yeah, I guess that’s a nice name. I hope he didn’t steal that name from me.
So, what was the question?
Why would Sony make some sort of drug?
What? No, it’s not a drug, it’s a DAW. It’s where I do most of my audio production.
You said that Sony is drawing something?
No, no, no. DAW stands for Digital Audio Workstation. Sony created two DAWs, one is called “ACID,” the other “Sound Forge.” Well, it might be three, cause I’ve heard of a Vegas version. I don’t know. Don’t ask me. Why Ask Me?
So, what DAWs do you own?
“ACID,” “Sound Forge,” and “Studio One 2 (Three, Four, Five) Artist.” I do most of my work on ACID. I’m trying to learn Sound Forge, but I’ve never actually used that. I use Studio One at times. It depends what I need it for. They have a ton of drum sounds, which I love to use. Actually, I haven’t used it often, but I really like them!
So, why don’t you live there?
I’d love to live in a computer!
Okay, how do we do that?
Oh, that’s a good question. I really don’t know.
Oh, that’s too bad.
Yeah, it is.
That just about ruined my day.
Yeah, thinking about it, it ruined my day also! Oh, wait, there is one other DAW that I use at times!
What is it?
Microsoft Sound Recorder. I used the XP version most. I’m not much a fan of the 7 version.
Oh, how good is that?
Not very good, but you could say I might be an expert at that!
What other Microsoft things do you use?
Do I have to answer the question?
I’m interviewing you! This is the stuff I ask!
Okay. What was the question?
What is Google?
Google? That might be my middle name! I found it! I better purchase that domain name!
Okay! You could make a ton of money if you get your hands on that one!
Yeah, but first I need to buy the English Alphabet first.
What do you mean?
Never mind. Anyways, GoDaddy said that some other guys already own it.
Oh, that’s too bad.
But I can always buy ComeMommy.com . . . if no one owns it.
That’s an idea! (NOTE: It's currently being auctioned!) Have you ever purchased a domain name before?
Oh, yes, I was the proud owner of Christopher164.com for five days.
GoDaddy took it away from me.
Well, I didn’t give them top secret information.
Well, something like my middle name.
What is your middle name?
So, you’re Christopher I Forgot Patti?
What? No! That dain’t true!
What? I better call the police!
Oh, I dain’t know.
Okay. Well, I heard that you were a mime for a day. Where in the whole wide wacky world did you get that idea?
Well, MimeForJesus changed her name to GodsThespian (or, she claims, this weird person named Thesie keeps hacking into her account) and everyone was acting like GodsThespian was the new person in town right away. So, I got an idea to be MimeForJesus. So I changed my name to “mimeforJesus” and my avatar to the mime’s avatar. And BOOM! Muhahahaha!
So, what happened?
No one noticed. I cried a lot that night.
Oh, that’s too bad.
No, I meant that no one noticed right away. And I was actually a little scared that night of what would happen. When I got online, I was just cracking up by all the comments I received from all that nonsense! Ha, ha! Laura Carrot was quite surprised and called me an “imposter.” Christopher Green (nice name) thought that I was MFJ all along. I still don’t know how he came up with that idea. And other chaos occurred. But I laughed a lot. I changed my avatar and name back to normal and acted like everyone was weird.
But, GodsThespian disappeared, right? Too offended, I suppose.
No, not offended. A few months later, she said that she was gonna change her name to “MimeForJesus” for one day. I think one day lasts a very long time!
How long would you like one day to be?
As long as one day is.
And how long is that?
Well, however long it’s supposed to take.
And then we’ll keep going in circles, right?
No, I’ll still be answering questions! Only my fingers are going in circles on the keyboard!
We’re kinda weird, right?
Any Which Way?
Are you a pureNRG fan?
Yes, I am! How did you hear about them?
Well, I went to a Christian bookstore and they were selling an album by this new teen artist. So I checked it out. Couldn’t get enough, so I got almost new album as the years went by. Was quite disappointed when they disbanded (then later on, I got the Christmas album and I don’t own reNRGized). How about you?
Same story, surprisingly!
How can that be?
I’m the one asking the questions!
Whoops! Sorry! Any more . . . ! (I can’t have a question mark there, I guess.)
Yes. Is your last name 164?
No, it’s Patti.
How do you spell that?
You put a “P” first. “P” as in the letter, not Percy Pea.
Okay . . .
Then an “A.” You can choose between the letter “A” or the word “a.”
Then two “T”s. Not t-shirts or golf tees or football tees or drinking tea, but the letter “T.” And then “I.” If you wanna do the word “I,” make sure it’s not capitalized unless my full last name is gonna be capitalized.
Okay, so it’s PATTI, right?
Good job! I think you’ll be a great speller in the future!
Yeah, eye gust kneed two work on it a wilttle moore.
Yeah, I agree.
Otay, vell, dank ou tho vewy muche!
3. Christopher 164
And our third interview today is with Christopher 164! He’s a great guy that you all should meet! Let’s get to know him better . . . somehow.
No problem! I feel like I’ve been interviewed a lot today, but I kinda like it!
Huh. That’s interesting. Anyways . . .
Why was that interesting?
I don’t know. It just is.
It really is. It really is.
HOW . . . never mind.
That is “What Would Kevin Would Have Done.”
Oh. Starring role.
There’s something you can do!
Anyways, moving on. So, you have a website, right?
Thou art correcteth.
Wow! You kinda sound like Old Scotty!
Any plans for the website?
Yes, I have a ton of ideas for future posts. People can sign up for the 164 Outsiders for weekly updates of potential future posts. But when it comes to actually writing and posting my posts, I’m pretty much asking God, “So, what should I do this time? I have this devotion idea, but I already have a review written up. And I can’t do a Fan TreeHouse post because I did that last time?” Something like that. Just whatever feels pressed into my heart, then I will write what that would be. I’m pretty much just relying on God every week. But sometimes I will plan ahead. Like sometime soon, I plan on posting another interview round with three guys who are like . . . myself!
Wow! I really can’t wait to read that!
IKRest? It’s gonna be sooo exciting! I hope everyone will get a kick out of it!
Or everyone could just “Kick Me!”
. . . or they could kick you.
But, on second thought, that might hurt.
Yeah. Let’s avoid that.
What about other parts of your site, besides posting new posts?
Well, there’s lots and lots of things to get done around here. There’s the recommendations page that’s gonna get an update, because Weebly got an update with new features, so I’m gonna make the page less crowded. That’s gonna be great.
What about this “Play” page I hear about?
No, Play is already up there. That redirects to the album “Play Nice.”
Yes! You too?
Oh, yeah! Hey, something just occurred to me . . .
We forgot to put the whistling there!
Anyways, the other Play page?
It’s gonna be called “Fun.” If you haven’t noticed, I try to keep my tabs one word. A few weeks ago, one of the tabs said “Thank-You.” That is, sort of, one word. But I recently changed it to one real work: “Thanks.” That’s better, right?
Yep! But get to the Fun stuff, please?
Of course! That will be a lot of Fun! So, I’m gonna move my 164 Outsiders newsletter sign-up sheet over there. It’ll be at the top of the page, and it will look more prominent. I’ll also try working on more ads for it on my site. And then I plan to have a place where you can ask me questions, and I’ll answer them in a future post! I like that idea! And then I plan on having polls, but I might not. I have some other things there that I don’t think I’ll reveal right now.
But for everyone to engage in it will be necessary, right?
When the stuff is up!
Any other things planned?
Yeah, I wanna work on my homepage a little more. And then I wanna edit all my posts, but that’s a lot of work. I’ve only edited 3 and a half, and I’m dead tired of it! So that’s bad news so far. And then there’s some stuff that needs updates, like my slideshows and my posts lists. In fact, I’m thinking that I’ll have several posts lists up on the page organized in several different ways!
That will be fun!
That’s why the new page will be called “Fun!”
Yeah, I guess that makes sense.
Yes, it really does.
Are we gonna be making more tubin’ jokes?
Naw, I think we can stop with that.
HOW . . . never mind.Okay. Well, let’s get . . .
No, let’s get spiritual!
That doesn’t sound as yummy, but to the spirit, it’s pure refreshment!
Yeah, I guess it is!
But I “Babble On.”
Yes! I recently listened to many of the Guardian songs and I really like them!
Which songs didn’t you listen to?
Numerous independent releases, all three Spanish albums, and the “Almost Home” album.
You wanna review them?
Oh, yes, I sure do! As soon as I listen to “Almost Home” (need to buy it first), then I’ll have a review on here! So pumped!
Okay, let’s get . . .
What does Jesus mean to you?
The whole world! My life is focused on him. If he wasn’t in my life, then I would be a very bad person, that’s all I know. He saved me, and my life’s goal is to bring others to Christ. Others must know, and it’s our job to do it! In sum, he’s wonderful and I want others to know about him. Like if you got a very special prize, then you’d tell everyone. Like if my site was featured on the New York Times (oh, if you’re reading this, I got money: $2.79!), then I’d tell everyone, right? Well, the gift Jesus gave us is much greater than a mention in a newspaper or any prize. And we should be jumping with joy and wanting to tell the whole world about it. Well, how come we aren’t doing it?
And, do you do that?
Honestly, I feel like a hypocrite at times. No, I’m not dancing on the street, trying to share the news. Either me in America or Korea, it doesn’t matter. I’m shy and, in general, wouldn’t do my job. But I need to. It’s a command from the Lord. Like Lydia’s latest post (which is a book review, but good nonetheless), she mentioned the reason why we aren’t doing things is because of FEAR. I am scared. I don’t wanna get mocked. I don’t wanna get rejected. But I have to remember that I’m on the winning team. Mark Cahill’s One Thing You Can’t Do In Heaven shares some more. I highly recommend that book.
Yeah, I say, “Listen To Me,” “I Got A Savior,” but it doesn’t seem like they’re listening. But our job is to proclaim the gospel, not conform to the world and fit in so we can share it. Not that we shouldn’t build relationships or share it thru different mediums, but the fact that we need to proclaim the Gospel without sugar-coating it.
How has the blog helped you grow spiritually?
Well, the blog has helped point out areas of my life that I needed help with that I never knew that I had problems with. Like, who’s more important: me and how I look, or God and how I’m portraying him. Phil Vischer’s Me, Myself, and Bob also helped with that. And a bunch of things, but that was a personal thing that happened with me that was a big takeaway.
Yes, it is!
Of course it should be!
And I agree!
So, do you think media should have a purpose and glorify God?
Yes, yes, yes. I wrote out my thoughts in “Media Tip – Media With A Purpose,” but that post was forever ago, so my thoughts may have changed a little bit. But I agree that our creative efforts should be aimed to glorify God, to make him look good, to encourage Christians, and to reach the lost. Like ApologetiX has the mission: Reach The Lost, Teach The Rest. And all of us should have that goal in the Christian media world. But, I didn’t say that you can’t have fun! I love having fun! And, there’s times when I’d do things that aren’t God-centered. But I make sure that it’s clean and that I’m not compromising my self. It’s a tough line to draw, but I’m really trying to make all my creative efforts point to God. Here’s an example. I do some Disqus posts. And those are fun! But those aren’t really spiritually edifying, right? And I’d be really silly if I stick God in there for no reason, right? If there’s an opening for him to be there, so be it. But those posts are helping those in the Disqus world or wondering the ins and outs of Disqus myself! But those posts don’t discredit God or anything like that! Get it?
I got it! It’s like I was thinking the same thing!
That’s so cool! And we have the same name!
Yeah! That is really cool! Hey, nice name!
Yeah, you too!
Do you have ANY ADVICE at ALL for those who wanna start a BLOG?
Well, Dern, that’s a good question. I’d say write for the glory of God. Write what you are passionate about. If you are writing things you aren’t so much of a fan of, then you are just forcing yourself to do silly things and you are gonna give yourself extra stress! Also, have a nice looking site with easy and accessible things. Do everything to make it professional as much as possible. And follow some steps to have a good blog post, which I wanna write an article about that soon! There’s so much more I can say. One more thing: KEEP YOUR SITE UP TO DATE! Oh, another thing: If you post too much, then everyone will have trouble keeping up with you, but if you post too little, then everyone will forget about you. Find that balance. Start posting one post a week. Too much for you? Then one every two weeks should be like a minimum. But try to post no more than three posts a week. And three posts is already stretching the limit. But also it depends how long or how short your posts are. You aren’t some big website like The Guardian (not the band) or CNN where you can post like 100 posts a day. If it’s God’s will, then you could do that. But you might not be able to do that. Just stay in the center in His will, and I guess that was another tip!
Well, it was so much fun talking with you!
Oh, it was a joy to be interviewed! Thank you for having me!
The four of us are really gonna work on making this website look better and nicer! We’re excited for what we have planned.
But, of course, our goal is to let God’s name to be proclaimed through out. We’re excited for other new stuff coming out soon (a new column or two, for example)! You can help us by sharing the word about this site!
And, don’t forget to sign up for the newsletter!
Oh, have any questions for the three Christophers, or even myself? Then get ready for a place where you can ask us just about any question on your brain and we will answer them in a future post! Stay tuned on the Fun page!
