Hello, there! I’m Christopher, which you should have known if you saw my cute little green logo. So, let me not distract you from the following post. I hope you like it! I’d love to hear your thoughts after you’re done reading it! Enjoy!
This month featured the craziest week yet this year for Christian music fans, especially those who like rap. (I’ll cover those two first!)
DC Talk: Are they back? Is the intermission over and done? Well . . . not really. Summer next year, you can join DC Talk (and a few other bands, including Newsboys) on the Jesus Freak Cruise and see the trio perform!
Lecrae: The rapper who said “They want my name on the dotted line, but I’m not for sale” has signed with Columbia Records! Of course, fans are divided about this decision. (“Yeah, he’s spreadin’ the news! This news is dope!” “Awww, if only if he didn’t read that book . . .”)
Focus On The Family: DC Talk isn’t the only one who will have a cruise next summer; Focus On The Family shall celebrate their 40th anniversary on a boat as well (but in November)! In addition, there will be a performance of Adventures In Odyssey’s 30th Anniversary Birthday Bash. No word yet if that will be the only performance.
Inner Tube: In response to the Jesus Freak Cruise (and possibly the FOTF Cruise), Josh and Kevin announced the first ever Inner Tube Cruise. (“It’s going to be VERY expensive!”)
Skillet: It’s about to be “Unleashed” and rippin’ your ears with rocking tunes and electrona elements!
ApologetiX: That Christian Parody Band released two singles: “Barak & Deborah / It’s Still Got The Joel You Need” and “Micah / Obed-Edom Obadiah.” Obviously, an album about the minor prophets is on the way!!!
Hello again! I’m so happy you finished reading my post, and, boy, do I hope you liked it!
