Hello, there! I’m Christopher, which you should have known if you saw my cute little green logo. So, let me not distract you from the following post. I hope you like it! I’d love to hear your thoughts after you’re done reading it! Enjoy!
The truth is that each one of us at any moment can be one heartbeat away from eternity. Your heart beats about 100,000 times in a twenty-four-hour period. One day, one of those beats will be your last.
Does the thought of death ever concern you?
As one who doesn’t believe in Christ, what do you think is on the other side of life? Where will you be when you die? What will happen? I’m sure I’d get different answers.
The problem is that 2+2 doesn’t equal 5. It equals 4. There is only one correct answer. What is it?
As Christians, we are comforted by the fact that we know the answer! We know that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven and that there’s nothing we can do except to accept His gift of salvation.
But there are many in the world who are not convinced about the truth.
Mark Cahill starts off his book, “One Hearbeat Away” by sharing proof that the Bible is factual and that we Christians aren’t duped into a phony religion. But I love the way he writes all this! He writes it in a very straight-forward maner that is so very easy to read and understand.
One thing I found very interesting from the first chapter was how many scientists actually believe that there had to be a Creator for this universe. But they refuse to acknowledge the truth. How sad!
Mr. Cahill goes through many of the prophesies that Jesus Christ had fulfilled and reminds us that it was next to impossible for Jesus to have fulfilled ALL of these. But it’s just God. He’s amazing.
Then Mr. Cahill shows us how serious the destination of our afterlife really is. After sharing how wonderful Heaven will be, warns us how horrible Hell really is. The question he’s driving in your brain is if you want to go there? And if not, do you want anyone to go there?
But there are people who do not know how to get to Heaven or Hell. Mr. Cahill goes through the Ten Commands to show that all are sinners and deserve Hell. But the Good News of the Gospel shows that Jesus died for us so we can live and go to Heaven. To choose to serve God is the best decision you can make.
Then he encourages the reader to reflect the light of the Son into the world. Mr. Cahill shows that our ultimate goal in life is to share the Good News of Christ with other people.
After dissecting it, this book seems similar to “One Thing You Can’t Do In Heaven.” To some degree, yes it is, but it is a different book. I think this book is directed more towards those who are new in their faith or those who are seeking Christianity as an option for life, due to the apologetics-based opening of the book.
For those who want to feel fire for Christ and want to evangelize, I still feel that “One Thing You Can’t Do In Heaven” is the book for you to read. I am actually going through it again and I stand with I just said.
But “One Heartbeat Away” still is a great book. Mr. Cahill has some awesome stories to share in this book and there are some amazing sections in this book and I really did enjoy reading this.
Hello again! I’m so happy you finished reading my post, and, boy, do I hope you liked it!
