Hello, there! I’m Christopher, which you should have known if you saw my cute little green logo. So, let me not distract you from the following post. I hope you like it! I’d love to hear your thoughts after you’re done reading it! Enjoy!
So there is this podcast called Audio Theatre Central. So I am going to review this podcast which reviews family-friendly audio dramas.
They mainly focus on what they call “the top 3” which is Adventures in Odyssey, Lamplighter Theatre, and FOTF’s Radio Theatre. In addition, they also review the Extraordinary Adventures of G. A. Henty, Jonathan Park, and other goodies. They even, once in awhile, do discussion episodes, when they talk about a topic related to audio dramas. In addition, they occasionally interview people and wrap up the episode with feedback and some jokes.
Guys, I really enjoy this podcast! The guys, JD, Roy, and Andrew, are very fun to listen to. They are funny and are into behind the scenes info like me. They have introduced me to audio dramas I’ve never heard of before, like Lamplighter. And they sometime catch things I didn’t.
My all time favorite episode is one of their discussion episodes, episode 56. They chat with Bill Heid, the executive producer of the Extraordinary Adventures of G. A. Henty, and they discus the difference between audio and visual entertainment. It’s a must hear!
Even though they review family friendly media, there have been a few productions with occasional mild language. If I were you, I would probably avoid these.
Other than that, great show! I love listening to them! They’re very nice, go check them out!
Hello again! I’m so happy you finished reading my post, and, boy, do I hope you liked it!
