Hello, there! I’m Christopher, which you should have known if you saw my cute little green logo. So, let me not distract you from the following post. I hope you like it! I’d love to hear your thoughts after you’re done reading it! Enjoy!
All right, everyone! I shall review pureNRG’s greatest album of all time: The Real Thing. (It was so good that it won the Dove best children’s album of the year!) And this review is “The Real Thing” of my review of this album. Now, you might be thinking, “‘Here We Go Again,’ when will he stop making puns?”
Well, first I’ll have to go to my “Gradutaion” and then “Someday” I’ll move my puns over to the “Radio.” “Can You Handle It?” Well, even though I may not be on the “Cover Of A Magazine” (well, “What If?”), I know you all will still “Like” me and be my “BFF.” Wow, I’m really going “360” with all these puns! “Are You Ready” for “More” awesomeness as I review “The Real Thing?”
Whoops, sorry everyone. This is “The Real Review” of “The Real Thing.”
Radio: Okay, I really like the style of this song, but I don’t really get the point of it. Anyone? And I don’t 100% appreciate the line: “. . . love can make us one; One world, one hope, one human race.” I’m sorry to begin this review with such a downer (at least it’s not a “Downer of a Sister(LINK)!”), but just giving my thoughts. But, on a positive note: the music video (LINK) is pretty cool!
It’s All About You: I really like this song! It’s one of my favorite tracks on the album! But . . . a secular person can hear this song and think it’s about their boy/girlfriend because there’s practically no mention of God (except for the line “When I think about you, Your amazing grace”). Just my thoughts there. What are your thoughts: should a song like this mention God or not?
Before The Sun Goes Down: This song’s an old family favorite! (Uh, too much. WAY too much. I even recorded two different versions of the song in 2010 and 2011.) It’s based off a verse in the Bible (Ephesians 4:26) and this song is awesome! Done in such a great way!
The Real Thing: I love this song! Really, I don’t know what else to say. This song is really sweet and really great! And, yes, Jesus is the real thing and is the one who really cares for us and gives us eternal life. And that leads perfectly right into the next song!
Savior: ANOTHER family favorite. After telling everyone who they found and how much Jesus has done for them, they introduce everyone to Jesus and list all the wonderful things he has done for us! Yep, “He’s got so much love for you; That He opened up His arms and gave His life for you.”
Live To Worship: And, again, another wonderful song. Isn’t that one of the reasons why we are here on this earth? We are here to worship our God! ALSO, we need to bring others to Christ. So I strongly suggest you check out this other review (LINK CAHILL) and read this book!
Sweet Jesus: What do you know? Another GREAT song! This song was made popular by Selah, and pureNRG did their own cover. And it’s so beautiful! (And, yes, it is also a “sweet” song.)
Overwhelmed: I (wow, sorry about this repetition) liked this song. But, it’s not one of my favorites. Well, I really did like it, but it kinda has decreased a little bit. That usually happens with songs I listen to over and over again (like “Savior”), but this I haven’t heard that much. Huh. Interesting.
Cover Of A Magazine: This is a really good song. This is something that many teens struggle with. They always see those models and they can never measure up. But everyone is a unique being who was created by God. Why measure up to anything except to God’s standards? Yet this song doesn’t mention God or anything, it portrays a good point and I think it’s worth hearing. (Oh, my modeling work has been published before . . . on my website! Wait, did I hear crickets?)
Can You Handle It: I haven’t heard this song in years and, when I was about to listen to it again, though it was okay. Well, it was a whole lot better than I thought it would be! It’s about teamwork and all that great stuff! (Also, it reminds me of K-POP, which I like the style of, most of the time, but the content isn’t good.) We’re a team, right? We’re “Taking the Plunge,” right?
But “First Things First,” what did you think of this album and my review (and my parody)? I thought it was fantastic. Compare it to the other three and this one is at the top! Y’all should check it out!
Anyways, you all should check out my ratings for this album!
Whoops, wrong album.
Anyways, everyone, God bless!
Oh, a little side note for all you techy nerds (I was kinda pumped when I found this out), the engineers used ProTools for creating this album (and, I’m sure, the others also)!
Hello again! I’m so happy you finished reading my post, and, boy, do I hope you liked it!
