Hello, there! I’m Christopher, which you should have known if you saw my cute little green logo. So, let me not distract you from the following post. I hope you like it! I’d love to hear your thoughts after you’re done reading it! Enjoy!
Are you looking for a good movie? One that will make you think? One with a hint of romance? One that might make you laugh and cry? Then check this movie out!!!
“The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry” is not some big fantasy story or small towns with a big mastermind controlling it. No, it is a normal, real life type story that is set in the year 1970. The best part about this movie is that it is . . . CHRISTIAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!
The story centers around one boy, Dustin, and his two close-as-brother friends, Albert and Mark. As Dustin one day mows a neighbor’s lawn, an old mister, named Jonathan Sperry, comes over and asks the young man to mow his lawn. Dustin takes up the task and Mr. Sperry treats him with AMAZING lemonade and give him a little extra money to express his gratitude. Dustin’s two friends want to try Mr. Sperry’s lemonade, and a deep friendship is brought into fruition. Mr. Sperry encourages his young friends to read their Bibles. They do fun Bible studies together and learn great lessons, including being kind to their enemies.
Many good things happen as a result. But I won’t give away the whole movie for you, ha, ha! But I will say that the three boys grow in their knowledge of Jesus Christ and start to evangelize. There are a few small plots that are woven into this delightful story, one about dealing with a bully and another one with some romance.
I encourage you to go and gather your family together and enjoy Dustin’s summer as they spend time being kids and learn about God!
This is a great family movie, but this is not recommended for kids under the age of ten. There are a few things within the movie which are a little mature for younger kids.
This movie is a must-see. Go and get this awesome, high-quality film that DOES honor God and reminds you of a VERY important lesson that ALL Christians should remember. I’m pretty sure that even your non-Christian friends will enjoy it too!
Hello again! I’m so happy you finished reading my post, and, boy, do I hope you liked it!
