Hello, there! I’m Christopher, which you should have known if you saw my cute little green logo. So, let me not distract you from the following post. I hope you like it! I’d love to hear your thoughts after you’re done reading it! Enjoy!
Alcohol is such a huge problem. It has ruined lives, families, and dreams, and there’s more lives, families, and dreams that will be ruined soon. This movie tells one such story.
Will Wright dreams of playing professional baseball. He moves out of his house to work at a mill so he could play in it’s mill team, in hopes that a scout could get him into the pros. But, the lure of alcohol is around the corner, and it threatens to take his dream, his possible spouse, and his life. Will he fall into the temptation and stand strong? Or is he rooted enough in the Bible?
I really liked it! It was very well told and the point made was amazing!
It just reminds me that when the devil tempts us, we aren’t going to fall down crushed in one day. No, it’s a slow fade. The devil will keep pounding you. In time, if you don’t arm yourself well enough, you will fall down, but it will be a gradual process. Sin is dangerous; don’t let it control you.
There’s so much stuff that the devil is pointing in your face: thing that will make you sin and/or will lead you into sin. He’s telling you that it’s gonna be fun and everything will be okay. But that’s not what God wants for you. He knows better for you and we can trust him. If we can stay grounded in his Word, then we can be able to fight the temptations around you.
No movie is perfect, of course. But there’s nothing major. My main problem would be the child actors. Those are the hardest actors to find, guys. (“Hire me!”) So I wouldn’t come down hard against them because of that. But I thought it was very well done!
This movie had me the whole way through. It didn’t feel like two hours, I was yelling in my head “Yes!” or “No!”, and I felt encouraged to stay rooted in God’s Word.
So, y’all, please check this movie out! I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!
Hello again! I’m so happy you finished reading my post, and, boy, do I hope you liked it!
