Hello, there! I’m Christopher, which you should have known if you saw my cute little green logo. So, let me not distract you from the following post. I hope you like it! I’d love to hear your thoughts after you’re done reading it! Enjoy!
The title says it all. My grandma died.
Out of all honesty, we knew that Grandma had some health issues for quite a few years, so we kinda knew the day was coming. And it did. And the news still is a shock to us in some ways.
She's gone. She's not here on earth with us any more. But she's in heaven.
It was because of her that my father is a Christian. Because of that, my immediate family are born-again believers (well, Peanut is too young to believe).
Grandma loved each of us. Almost every time we called her on the phone, she'd yell out our names: "HI CHRIIISTOPHERRR!" And with my uncle and aunt's help, she'd send us a box of Christmas presents every year since we've been here in Korea.
But now she won't call out our names anymore. And no more presents from her. And we won't see her again until we die (we haven't seen her for five years). But she is up there praising the name of Jesus.
I thank God that she loved our Lord. I thank God that she was saved. I thank God that she influenced my dad (and others, I'm sure) in a good way. And thank God that she is up there in Heaven, forever in his presence.
Let me share with you part of the Guardian song "See You In Heaven."
Grandma, I love you. I know you're having a good time up there.
I'll see you in heaven.
