Hello, there! I’m Christopher, which you should have known if you saw my cute little green logo. So, let me not distract you from the following post. I hope you like it! I’d love to hear your thoughts after you’re done reading it! Enjoy!
So tell the depression it can fly away
So many things have come my way this year, good and bad. But I can’t let it keep me down. I don’t wanna live in defeat.
I want to rise up and not let it keep me down.
What man intended for evil, God intended for Good.
The righteous may fall seven times, but they shall get back up.
Annotated Lyrics (If you hate watching lyric videos)
If you purchased the physical copy of Skillet’s “Rise” (and I have the deluxe edition), then you know there’s a poster of the girl on her knees, praying, with wings coming out of her back as if it’s ready to soar.
While I don’t really hang posters up, I recently put that near my work desk to encourage me whenever I’m distracted in my thoughts as I’m doing my work.
I look at that poster and I see me in a very broad way.
I see myself trying to rise out of the things that are consuming my brain. Rise out of negative thoughts. Rise out of the power of the devil.
I’m just there on my knees, praying for strength.
I have the ability, but I don’t have the strength.
Just chill and trust him.
Cast your cares upon the Lord.
Trust the Lord.
I am free.
The chains are falling.
To hell with the devil.
To hell. To hell. To hell.
You have no grip on me.
You can’t stop me now.
Never. Not. Ever.
Praise be to God.
Hello again! I’m so happy you finished reading my post, and, boy, do I hope you liked it!
